2025 CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
Presenters are required to be WGS South members as well as required to register for the conference and pay the conference registration fee which covers conference cost.
The WGS Student Travel Grant is applied for and awarded on an individual basis. Each applicant should fill out an application with their own information and distinct response to the application question. The grant is not awarded on a group basis, but for individual applicants.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION ALSO INCLUDES THESE LIMITED-TIME WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITIES:
Preconference registration. Ms. Magazine is returning to WGS South to offer the Ms. Writers Workshop: Writing for the Popular Press. The preconference is a five week asynchronous workshop culminating in two in-person workshops during the conference on Thursday (2-5 pm) and Friday (8-10:30 am). This workshop teaches scholars how to transform their work into public scholarship. Participants will leave the preconference with a completed pitch and article ready to be submitted to a popular venue. Participants will work with Ms. editors and receive feedback on their pitches, articles, and potential submission suggestions. The workshop is limited to 30 participants. Registration is $300.
Upon checkout, registrants will be asked if they plan to attend Stephanie Evans's 2-hour workshop on Black Feminist Writing on Friday, 3/7, 5-7 PM. The first 25 participants to RSVP will receive a complimentary copy of her new book, Black Feminist Writing.
HOTEL AND CONFERENCE SITE
The conference will be held at The Decatur Conference Center, housed in The Courtyard by Marriot Atlanta/Downtown Decatur, March 6-8, 2025. WGS South has reserved a room block at the hotel. TRAVEL
The nearest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The hotel is adjacent to Decatur Square and accessible by public transit. Visit Its Marta Decatur Station. Decatur Station is on the Blue line. If traveling by rail from the airport to the hotel, take the RED or GOLD line to Five Points and then transfer to the eastbound BLUE line. Parking at the hotel is $12.
